Is there any way to stop them from making a sufficiently high-pitched rattle / squeak to be audible over my ICE?

Only way I have found so far is to keep adjusting the bl**dy thing.

More concerning - mate was sitting in the back seat of my Scooby (MY97) and he noticed that the bolt holding my seat belt in place seems to be dangerously undone.

Is this simply a case of tightening the bolt?

 

I have had to tighten both seatbelt bolts (these are 14mm and theres on of those in your toolkit) and also the seat mounting bolts. I think you will find that your ICE needs to be louder to cover the squeaky visors or you could try a little smear of vaseline on the plastic part.. I always keep some in my glove compartment just in case I head down to Brighton of an evening
