Just purchased a splitfire 0 to 100 psi oil press gauge ,been told that on start up a wrx oil pressure reaches 115psi , but settles down to 35 to 70 psi , on driving , do you think i should take my gauge back and get an higher pressure gauge or will the one i have do ? the same as a temp gauge ive got a 40 to 170 degree oil temp gauge will this gauge be ok aswell or should i get a higher temp gauge ?

Subaru oil is max 7 bar cold and should run at 6 bar hot, idle is normally 1.5 to 2 bar although that depends on the oil and engine (mine idles at 4 bar and runs 7 bar, STi5)

7 bar is 101.5 psi

so would you say i need a higher psi range pressure gauge ?
