Default A pillar gauge pod

I've just bought one of these to fit a single boost gauge on a new age. It replaces the A pillar trim, anyone done this? Two questions really, how do you take off the original trim and I have a alarm thing mid way up so I guess I'll need to drill a hole and transfer, do these just screw out?

Did this on my newage last year.... but was a bit of bu**er.

Existing A-pillar trim will come off if you pull hard enough. It's held in by 3 (I think) plastic clips... top middle bottom.

Be careful with the alarm pod. The cable to the sensor is coax (apparently) and does not like being cut. I found it best to...

a) pop open the oval case with a small screwdriver
b) unscrew the pod housing from the A-pillar trim
c) take out the sensor and unsolder the wires ** don't solder for too long as it'll melt the sensor **
