Exclamation Boost Gauge

You have to excuse my non technical explination, however fitted a boost gauge y'day to the centre consol looks lovely, however the gauge never goes below 0psi & wobbles up to about 10 when I 1/2 accelerating?! if i floor it it goes back down to 0. Also when i change gear when giving it some it shoots up breifly?! is this not backwards, have I fitted the vacum pipe to the wrong place?
It is a MY05 WRX and I have fitted the vacum tube to a pipe that comes off what looks like a lil dump valve above the turbo?

yes m8 wrong place, do a search and there is plenty on here to let you know. Usual place is into the pipe off the dumpvalve.

Looks lik youve tee`d into you actuator pipe.

I think you need to replace th pipe youve cut and connect to your inlet manifold.

There should be three connections on there. if you cant find a free one then tee into one of the others. as close to the manifold as poss.

you should be reading correctly then.

all depends roughly approx -.06 (bar) tickover and up to 1.0 (bar) say in top gear under load, all dependant on quality of gauge and good fitting connections etc....

As above really.

I sit at about -20psi at idle and see full boost by 2000rpm of 10psi all the way up to 6000rpm when the boost starts to drop of.
