Default I need 7 seats!!

Hi,
I'm having to sell my sti as it's not big enough but love the subaru so am just wondering if any of them are big enough to fit universal seats in the boot space? I bought a double uni fit seat ages ago for hubbys frontera but they are still sitting here unused so now I'm thinking it would be ideal to use them on a Subaru...if one would be suitable!
What do you think? Not keen on the Forrester but some piccies make the boot space look huge. What about an Impreza wagon?

Thanks in advance xxx

Wagons are no different to saloons.

We used to have a Honda Shuttle, very nice MPV IMHO

Edited for accuracy.

SEVEN seats? Got more than three kids, have you?

oh thats put an end to that then! Never seen a wagon in 'real' life so just assumed they'd have big boot and could work.
Thanks for that.
Will have a look at the Honda. Was thinking Grand Voyager but reviews say costly to run, but space sounds perfect! We had a Galaxy and it wasn't big enough!!

PMSL, you die a little bit inside each time you drive it too.

Still liked it for the job it did

I would have thought a universal seat would just fit in a wagon, if you could put it in facing backwards. The main problem would be lack of height below the seat bench, so maybe a Forester would work better.

Picture of a wagon boot here:

Bit of a tight squeeze, the rear glass slopes quite a bit. Why not a Legacy estate? Going from an STi to an MPV would be soul destroying I should imagine

Voyagers are good looking cars, but unreliable heavy pieces of American cr@p!! Voice of experience!! I had one and had to replace the alt, £450 dealer supply only, without fitting! That was just one of many problems we had (was only 3 years old BTW)!
Why do you need such a big car, we've got 5 kids and manage fine with our VW Touran TDi sport. Cracking cars and quick for an MPV . A re-map to 180 odd bhp is on the cards soon!

If you wanted to convert a Scooby then I think the only one with enough space would be the Forrester as the Impreza wagon would be just too small in general and the Legacy to low.(roof wise) Great sleeper car as well IMO!!

Well with the Galaxy there was plenty of seats (we had a ghia so it had 6 captain seats not 7 incl bench) but to go shopping there was no boot space so the majority of the bags had to go round the kids feet and on their knees!! Having a big family means doinga big shop as you'll know yourself from experience!! Was looking at a VW caravelle / transporter .... ???

I certainly do!! I send the missus while I watch the kids as they're a nightmare round the shops!!

Can't go wrong with a VW imo.

What about a Transit Tourneo if you want space?? (comfy seats and loads of luggage space!!) You could always stick a cossie engine in it as well

Nissan Pathfinder Sport has 7 seats. Ours has taken Me, the wife, two kids and two Grandparents to the airport a few times, complete with 4 large suitcases, and 6 rucksacks! with no issue what so ever.

Rear 2 seats can fold flat into the floor independently, so with 6 people on board, you still have large cargo space.

We have averaged 24mpg in nearly 3 years of ownership, 35000 miles, most of which are spent towing car trailers or horseboxes. On a recent run to brands hatch, towing a scoob on a trailer, it averaged 28mpg.

Worth a look IMO.

Agree with steven, I have the pathfinder aventura auto and it is trouble free and can happily carry 7 and pull a trailer.
