Default Where have people mounted the defi control unit

Hi,

I should be picking up my car very soon once the registation is sorted out. It already has a defi boost gauge and control unit fitted. I'm looking for some advice on where I can fit the control unit for a factory look as it is currently in the driver footwell. I would like it to go in the centre of the car but am loking to keep the double DIN head unit that is there. What is just under the two central air vents as I've seen them fitted here before and like this look? Any pics would be appriciated.

Cheers

Matt

Yeah that's the way. Looks just about the best place to put it I think. What is originally there? Is there much work involved in mounting it there?

Can't see that I'll be wanting a cup holder so would be the sensible option. What have you used to secure the control unit?

Mine is a UK car, so it didn't even have a cupholder, just a cupholder blankiung plate. Theiving Japs!

Remove the oddments tray, then unscrew the cupholder/blanking plate. I had to saw part of the fitting for it to fit the module, but it would go back with silicone and no-one any wiser.

My control unit is fitted with double sided sticky pads under it, it's a tight-ish push fit anyway.

Cool thanks for that sounds easy enough. What pod is that you have as the ones I have been looking at are curved on top I like the look of the straight top.

Mine's from Scoobymania, good match for the OE dash, but I'd like one from Zero Sports. Cost me around £80 IIRC.

Will have a shop around and see what's about. Still need to pick up the other 2 gauges so no rush. Thanks for the advice on the control unit. Will get so pics of the car up when I pick it up.

Shawy, that Dash is mega....good work.

Mine is in the glovebox, I have a unhealthy addiction to caffine and a cupholder is my life.
