Default are the insides of the glove box meant to be padded?

mine seems to be just the hard plastic, so when i put the plastic case for my headunit unit in there, it clatters about like mad which in turn, drives me mad!

if its not meant to be just plastic, is there anywhere where i can get a precut bit of material that will fit/stick into place?

i knew stepping down from an audi interior was going to be crazy but this is nuts

i wish it were so easy, because its not lockable i tend not to keep anything in there and the only time i have anything in there (headunit hard cover) is when i'm driving around.

Put a spare lint-free cloth in to pad it.

You could just put some of that anti-slip matting in that you use for dashboards, tool boxes etc.... Only a couple of quid a roll from the likes of Wilkinsons?

Headunit case fits perfectly in the centre arm rest cubby hole. Not any room for it to move about either.

i've got a lardy **** pioneer faceplate, it doesn't fit in mine either even with nothing else in there :/

not a bad idea ayde, it means not sticking an ugly velcro strip to my case!

i found a way around it, then found a less drastic way around it afterwards!

i ended up buying a MVH8300BT, smaller sized faceplate with padded carry case, problem sorted

however i noticed that the DEH7300BT's carry case was big enough to wedge into a sort of shelf inside the glove, no idea what it's mean to be there for though.

You can get glove-box flocking kits if it bothers you that much. That's all that was in my Audi.

I'm coming from a Seat that doesn't have linings. In that I use the rubbery matting to line the doors and cubbys.

A Forester has a lined glove box, and it is just flocking as above. Impreza and Forester dashboards are the same fitment, but may be different colours.
