Default Not keen on my Blobeye STI seats...

After selling my V5 STI and buying a JDM Blobeye (V8) STI, I'm finding myself missing my old seats quite a lot. I find the Blob seats quite uncomfortable.

Are the Bugeye (V7) STI seats more like the classic shape seats, i.e. more 'huggy'? The Bug seats would obviously still match the rest of my interior but I only want to buy a set if they're as comfy as my old seats!

Another alternative I suppose would be RB5 / P1 / 22B seats but I'm not 100% sure about the colour match to my rear seats or door cards.

I really miss my classic seats

Never tried bug seats, but I picked up a good little trick of a yank impreza sight, I was the same as you prefered by old Type R seats to my V8.
If you get under the seat you will see three supporting wires that run accross the seat under the foam, if you pull these away from the foam to the point that when they rebound they are deformed a little and sit about 2-3cm away from the foam. (can be done by hand or usa a bar for a bit of leverage)
Undo the fabric covering the back of the seat, plastic clip is at the bottom. Then repeat for the spring wires across the back.
You should find when you sit back in it you fell more hugged by the seat. Cheap fix if its enough for ya.

Bug seats are a bit flatter (the STi bug seats with blue squabs that is) than the blob, The Blob STi are quite figure hugging and when they came out there were complaints from people with wider ***** LOL

I've got blob seats in my bug

hi. bug jdm seats also tighter then uk.

also the black material is different on v7 and v8.

Get a set of V8 STi seats from a UK model. Lot more relaxed.

The most normal seat feeling ones ive sat in were UK Hawk 06/07 STi ones

I saw this on several sites and wondered if it actually did anything. Did you do this and really notice a difference?

Indeed. For those of us with the slightly larger capacity rear end, the seats are not confortable

My mate's got a UK Blob in his garage for some work and I'm sure the owner wouldn't mind me just sitting in it for a minute. Might give that a go. If you're right, all I've got to do is find some UK Blob seats and flog my JDM jobbies.

It can't be that easy

Genuinly I did, even had one or two people from our local club sit in and they noticed it too, worth a go for ten minutes work and nothing to lose if you don`t think its enough.

Might give that a go if the UK seats don't turn out to be much different. Like you say, nothing to lose.
