Default Air con light not working

As title, everything else is working fine just that when I switch the air con on the light doesn't come on. Any ideas please.
05 plate WRX. Thanks in advance.

if your refrigerant level drops below a certain level the system wont switch on - just had mine serviced and regassed - the engineer said on average a system loses approx. 20 percent of gas every year so if that's true it could just need a service and regas

The classics almost always had the non working lights,so chances are that the later models have the same quirks

Most probably the small bulb that lights up the light is busted.
In the switch are 2 separate bulbs, one that illuminates the entire switch (to find it in the dark)and a seperate bulb which goes on when the AC switch is in the ON position.
