a/l and map switches help
Hi,
I'd like to change my switches for anti-lag and twin maps. Ive found ones I like. I assume I need an on/off for a/l and an on/on for the maps.
The problem is that the on/off can be DPST or SPST and the on/on can be SPDT or SPDT.
Which ones sound I be getting please?
Thanks in advance, Lee

DPST: double pole, single throw
SPST: single pole, single throw
The former will switch two wires from on to off, or vice-versa, the latter a single wire. Like a light switch.
I assume your next bit should read
DPDT: double pole, double throw, and
SPDT{ single pole, double throw?
Those can changeover two wires (DPDT) and one wire(SPDT) from one way to the other. Like indicators.
I would think, (but ask your mapper), that you would want SPST and SPDT.
The DP switches can be used for an SP circuit, the SP switches CANNOT be used in a DP application.
