Default impreza blobeye

Howdy troops,

I've got a lovely blobeye sti, nicely upgraded.

My request is how to improve light, I've a mighty intercooler on the front which caused the need to remove the fog lights. I live in a rural spot, dark winding roads.

I've had the thought to potential fit roof bars then rally spot lights to the bar?

Any thoughts on this or alternative ideas?

Thanks

Ah yes the reg was an interesting choice of the previous owner!

Where would light strips blend in. I've made a slight change you'll see in the picture.

I'd have a smaller plate but put it wer the original hose to measure nice splitter maybe the led strips between the splitter and bumper winglets maybe? The headlights are so crystal like new as is the car if that's how you like it then that's all thT matters

Ah yes good spot, Jdm with every piece of paperwork from the original sales receipt from Tokyo Subaru!

Where would I get a smaller plate? I've not had much luck finding a place.

Front end with FMIC, car now has facelift bumper/grille.

Dips, GE Megalight 60% uprated, in Morettes.
This was before the car was fitted with crystal lights containing HID projectors.

Morette main beams now lit too, H2 55W bulbs

And the full set, now with the Hella 1000FF driving lights.
Foreground looks over-lit, but this is the photo, since they were all taken on a fixed setting to show the relative brightness.

You CAN still have foglights with an FMIC, my classic has full-sized Hella 1000FF DRIVING lights in place with the FMIC, although you have to modify the brackets.

What about a pair of 90mm Hella lights, and using the foglight covers with holes, like the P1 had?

Or upgrade your headlights with uprated bulbs, like Halfords Ultra, Osram Nightbreaker, Ring 120%, etc?

Or, since you have single filament bulbs in your lights, uprate the dips with an HID kit, buy a decent one and DO NOT go over 5000K, 4300K is even better.

Here's some pics of my classic light outputs:

Thanks for the ideas guys, I'll give the hella lights a go with some tinkering of brackets. Could they just connect to the front fog light wires and switch?

No, to be legal, you need them wired so as to come on with main beam and go off when dipped....and to be honest, forget legal, it's so much easier than feeling for a switch to switch on, switch off etc.

Easy enough to do, post again when you have some lights and the covers, or modded covers. Costs about £10 and half an hour.
