There is only one foglamp on the MY01+ - on the offside.

Not that it ever gets used but are Subaru too cheap to put in 2 or is there a reason for only having 1?

Personally I prefer only 1 as there is more chance of seeing the brake lights when they go on,

There is that, but it makes the car look lobsidded, IMHO of course.

I think I agree with the "cheap" opinion.

If the reason was to avoid confusion with brakelights, then the third (high level, central) brakelight would prevent this being an issue.

Agreed, but I think it may be due to other countries that have different legislation, usually French cars which only have one so it may be that they are only allowed one, therefor makers cater for the minimum, just a suggestion, might be talkin out of my ar*e,
