Hi guys and girls,

Anyone tried changing the dipped and main beam bulbs on an STi8 yet?

There is just too much "engine" in the way - unless you have tiny childlike hands (with I don't)

I have even tried removing the headlight units, but haven't had any success getting them out yet.

I know the headlights are a lot better than previous models, but I'd still like more powerful bulbs.

Cheers

Simon

Question

Simon, what type of bulbs are they for the dipped and main, i.e. H4 ?

PS Are you going for Phillips Vision Plus?

Cool

Let me know if you want some bulbs from the Xenon group buy, couple of guys with STi8's have them fitted already, and seem very pleased with the results

I just ordered some Phillips Blue Vision bulbs from www.powerbulbs.com and you get free side lights. You Need H7 for an STi 8 and I tried fitting them this morning but it looked a rather complicated job, so I will leave them until tomorrow.

Cupraman, sorry to disagree but you need H1 and HB3 / 9005 for an STi7, 8, or '03 WRX

It's H7 for UK300 main and dip, hope this helps

Just received my PIAA Super whites H1 & HB but there is no mark on the box that says HB3 or 9005, they only mention that it's suitable for all the HB series, could this be right as each number in the end refers to different bulb design/size?
