I have just fitted UK300 style lights to my Sti7. Please e-mail me info on what you can do regarding HID.
JG; My Sti lights are stonechipped to bits and I got the prodrive lights real real cheap, hence the change. They are growing om me as well.

the Autolamps HID H7 kit fits the UK300 lights in either 4200k or 6100k 
or they can do "ordinary" bulb upgrades
have a search for the group buy a while back for details
