My MY99 STI5 has recently developed a strange fault with the door locks. It's a Japanese model, so all the doors lock automatically when the engine is started. However, usually at least once per journey, all the doors will unlock simultaneously.

Usually the doors can be locked and unlocked when the engine is running with no problems, but when the have unlocked in this way, the cannot be locked again (at least I haven't been brave enough to exert enough force!).

This usually happens under slight acceleration or when going over bumps, so I suspect it is a loose wire or faulty sensor.

Anyone seen this before?
