Side Light Removal.
DOh... I feel Like a thicky but need to ask!!!
I have to replace a sidelight bulb and need to know how to remove the unit.
I have an MY95 wagon and there is a screw mount on the head light unit that secures the top of the sidelight... Feels like there is another securing point somewhere, I dont want to yank it out and break something...
Any assistance greatly appreciated..
Also first time ive signed into the new stylie... and looks like I havent visited since 1970!!...

There is another fixing, and, strangely, it is a "yank it out" fitting:
Put simply, it has a ball and socket joint on the rear of the sidelight. The ball is on the light unit.
Once the screw is out, grasp the light unit, and pull STRAIGHT BACK until it comes out. Don't worry if the joint breaks, one of mine did, and it's been in and out several times since, still OK, still mended with Suprglue, Araldite ,and a little strip of brass from local model shop.
A good idea before refitting, is to grease the ball and the socket. Place light unit onto socket, align it properly, and hit it smartly into place with the heel of your hand. Don't forget to replace the little screw.
