Question Lighting problem

I had some PIAA driving lights fitted about 10 months ago and have had no problems until now......... What is happening is when I put my dipped beam on the the FULL beam comes on along with the PIAA's. What I have to do is just flash the lights ( As if I was flashing a fellow scoob ) and the dipped beam come back and the PIAA's go out. I do have the PIAA's wired up so they come straight on with the full beam

Sounds like the dip/main changeover relay is sticking.

Steve,
I agree with Al it sounds like a sticking relay , give us a bell and nip round to ours and I try swapping the relay with mine to prove it if you wish , Are the headlights also showing main beam when the PIAA's are sticking on ?
The PIAA's on yours are controlled by a 30A relay , it should carry a max load of 360 watts at 12 volt. If only the PIAA's are coming on then it sounds like the PIAA relay thats sticking , if both the headlight beam and the PIAA's are coming on then it is either the main beam relay in the relay box adjacent to the battery or it could also be a faulty lighting switch ( stalk )
Lemme know if you need a hand mate.

Hi Steve, Both the headlight beam and the piaa's are coming on. It doesn't happen all the time, just the majority of times. The display on the dash doesn't suggest the full beam is on.

Steve.
