I want to get some wires from the engine bay to the cabin.

What is the best way on an 03 WRX?

There are two spare grommets in the bulkhead in line with the brake pedal. They can be seen clearly from the engine bay. You can see the cuts in the carpet from the inside. I'm using them to fit a Snooper Radar Detector behind the front splitter in mine.

Alternatively there's a huge (about 100mm) grommet in the passenger side just about straight back from the battery. I slid a phillips screwdriver through the middle alongside the wires then pulled it sideways enough to add extra wires through the hole.

That sounds like what I want - where does it emerge in the cabin?

Up behind the glovebox, out of sight but easy to get to with your hand to grab the wires and pull them through.
