Default Switched live for Snooper S4

Currently fitting Snooper S4 RLD to 03 WRX. Don't want the curly lead in the *** lighter. Where is the best (or easiest) place to pick up switched live?

Thanks,
Steve.

The wires to the back of the lighter socket !!
I fitted an Origin B2 to my MY03. Using guidance from the ICE forum, I took the two screws out of the cup holder and removed it. The radio facia and a/c controls etc then pulls off if you work around it with your fingers, giving the top corners a pull initially. With the facia off, you can get to the back of the lighter socket. I removed the cable to the back of the lighter (a bit tight and fiddley), which IIRC has connectors at each end, then used splicing clamps (?) to attach two extra wires. Refitted and all OK.
Check ICE for full details of dismantling.

Default Best place for snooper... I think...

Thanks Nick.
Eventually decided to remove the clock panel (snaps out with a little persuasion) having looked at a thread under ICE. Took live + neutral off the clock supply using butt connectors.
Bolted the supplied bracket (minus windscreen suckers) to the lip of the dash. Just enough give in the dash to feed cables out when clock panel is replaced. Not too shabby in the end, other than a little movement on the firm ride (I think this would have happened anyway using the windscreen suckers).
