Another thing... Speedo face, how to change?
Hi, almost forgot....
How do I change the speedo face on the Type R? I got a 180mph one to replace the 280 mph one? Can't seem to disassemble? Do the needles pull off easily or what?? It's really not my day!
Also, do any other STi 4 owners have 180 speedos? are the 'de-restricted' and how many wires do your speedo senders have on them 2 or 3?
Hope the Cam Cover Gasket replacing goes easier tomorrow!!
Thanks again

Hi mate,
I paid a fortune on ebay for a complete dash but figured if it solved my problem it's be o.k as it came with the elusive 180 dial!! I've seen your posts and unfortunately have no idea where it came from... I'll have a better look 2mrw to see if there's a name on the dials. It's the real type R one with the DCCD bt it's a later one with connectors on the top edge and a plastic case over the electrics at the back...
I'm sure we've been here before and you've told me but can you remind me, what does your speedo read currently? 280 too?
I've sorted the conversion by the way... being supplied the correct chip helps! soldered it in today -behind the dash and bingo... MPH!
Cheers
