Default need electrical help :(

please help, over the past couple of days my stereo has started dying, it will just keep switching itself on and off continually, i thought it was the head unit itself but the door open light in the instument console and the clock above the stereo (its a MY97 btw) have also be flashing and dimming. I've checked all the fuses which are fine but being a complete dunce when it comes to this sort of thing i am at a loss? Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong or have they had a similar problem, oh and could this affect the central locking as this has been playing up as well?

Any help gratefully accepted
Cheers Jam

Sounds like you've got a possible bad earth, my electric windows were playing up, only working when they wanted, that was down to a broken earth wire

Bad earth or a loose multiplug somewhere in the loom would be my guess, root around in the back of the dashand check all/any plugs you can find, then clean up your earth points and see if that helps.
