Changing a side light bulb
Hi there,
Sorry if this sounds really stupid but I have looked at the owners manual and removed the screw that holds the light in, and then it says just to pull the unit forward but it doesn't seem to want to come without applying loads of pressure and I'm worried about breaking it. Is there a technique to this?!?
Cheers.

as above.. just pull straight ensuring you dont snap the little bracket off the top..
hit it forwards with the palm of your hand.. or lever it out against the edge of the wing that it sits against at the bottom with something plastic or similar that wont mark the wing.. it will then just pop out..

They can take quite a pull first time out.
Don't worry about breaking it, it's ball and socket, with the ball on the rear of the sidelight.
Mine broke off, and has been repaired since then with superglue reinforced with araldite, for about 3 years. It's been in and out 3 times with no ill effects since then.
A good idea is to grease both ball and socket before replacing it.
To replace it, place ball on socket, align light to vertical and horizontal, and rap it smartly into place with the heel of your hand. Don't forget to replace small screw!
