Default Fitting extra cigarette lighter sockets.

Hey,

I have a couple of items to plug into the cigarette lighter socket, but for the sake of tidy cabling I'd quite like to fit a couple of extra sockets underneath the dash.

Does anyone have a decent guide on doing this sort of thing or should I just phone up my local auto electrician?

Cheers

Stephen

Pretty easy, you can pick up the power from the back of the existing cig lighter socket & can get a scotchlock on it without cutting any wires, then pick up an earth from a mounting screw under the glovebox area/footwell, anything which connects to the body will do. I did this for my Road Angel installation, then tucked the lighter socket out of the way under the carpet above the ECU panel.

That sounds easy enough for a fat fingered hacker like me to do.

Funnily enough, one of the items that needs wiring up is a Road Angel. The other being a G-Tech Pro RR.
