Hey folks, I've got the offer of a set of Uk Sti lights and am looking for some advice on how to get these working. Bearing in mind I am not at all technically minded!

Now I beleive the wiring of these is very different due to the fact that the WRX has a single bulb for high and low beam where as the Sti has two separate bulbs?

Help!

That may not be a problem. What matters is the type of connector on the STi lights. The OEM lights have three connectors that look like this:



That is actually the back of a set of Morettes, which use the same connectors, but have separate main and dipped beam lamps.

If the STi lights have the same connectors then there's no problem. But if they use different connectors then you're talking re-wiring.

Email me and i'll send you a word doc (1Mb) of what i did - complete with photos, wiring sketches & wire colour codes.

It was easy once i'd found out the relevant info so this should make it quite a simple job. I wanted to make plug and play harnesses so that i could revert back to the Bug eyes if need be but you can just hardwire them in.

Subsequent to me doing this: wagons_ho on www.nasioc.com has bought an industrial quantity of the correct connectors and is selling ready made harnesses for both the light and levelling harnesses.

Mention me and i might get a levelling harness out of it.
