Question Defi Gauge Oil Temp/press adaptors, which ones?

Hi all, Got my defi's installed in terms of the electrical stuff being done but need the adaptors to fit the Oil Temp & Oil Press senders to the engine.
Does anyone know exactly which parts I need for a MY03 & where I can get them from?
Help!

Question

Isn't the o/p a direct fit into the o/p warning light sender tapping, like on the classic? You don't really need the warning light now do you? Just remove it's sender and screw the Defi one into it's place.

As for the o/t, is it going into a tapping on top of No3 cylinder? If so, you;ll need a LONG 8mm Allen key to get the plug OUT and an adaptor for the sender, mine came from Scoobymania, about £8. Don't forget PTFE tape on the threads.

AFAIK there is no difference between MY02 and MY03 blocks (and earlier?) and this is the adaptor you need for fitting above no3 cylinder for temp. As alcazar says, for pressure, remove the OE sender and use that for pressure. The oil pressure switch fitted as standard must be active off as the oil light does not come on - instead I get a nice beep from the Defi's when the ignition is on but engine not running.

Some people have made up a Y piece to allow OE switch and gauge senders but the Defi's will tell you so much more than that little light.

I'll anticpate your next questions

When hot, around 2 BAR at idle, 6 BAR above 3000 rpm (depending on oil - on Motul 15W50 I get just over 2 BAR hot and 6 BAR at 2500 rpm, usual dealer - Shell - just under 2 BAR idle 6 BAR @3000 +)

Hot I am referring to 'normal' hot - i.e around 95 degrees C. Varies up to 110 depending on how hard you drive it (maybe hotter!) Reasonable motorway driving around 100 degrees but takes ages to get there.

Expect the water temp to be almost normal before the Oil Temp defi gets of the mark at 50 Degrees

Surprising just what happens to the oil temp compared to what you think has probably been happening up til now!

Cool

Didn't want to presume about the boost gauge

6th Gear nadger over 1.4 peak, 1.1 held that's on a MY02 STi standard except for Scoobysport back box.
