Default curious little indicator problem

word up! (don't ask)

i've got a wierd problem with my indicator on a my99 turbo wagon.

the right hand indicator doesn't flash with a constant pulse anymore, it speeds up and slows down!?! none of the bulbs are failing to light at any point and if i use the hazards, it all flashes as it should do.

I can only asume that it's the relay/whatever times them, that is at fault.

can anybody tell me how to find and test this little beastie, or if it's something completely different. it's not causing a real problem as all the lights are lighting, it's just annoying more than anything!

Sounds like a dirty contact or a poor earth. Does it speed up/slow down when you put your foot on the brake? If it does then it's almost definitely an earthing problem and you need to take a look at the rear light cluster.

that's the wierd bit, I could have it sat on the drive, engine running, indicator on. leave the car on the handbrake so the only light that is on is the indcator and then get out of the car to watch. All bulbs light perfectly, the timing just speeds up and slows down. really odd it is
