Fuse no 5 (10 amp - in the footwell fb.)
Tail illumination relay (same place) but at the top of the fb
Main fuse box (engine bay) No.23......... 20amp
If they are all ok, then you will need to check your earth points. Also try both the parking switch & the stalk switch?
Double check all the fuses, remove & refit.

I have made out my own diagram using the electrical pdf as a guide with a complete spare loom. The diagram is not with me at home its still in my project car which I wont be able to get to until the weekend.
Btw the fuse box in the foot well can be removed easily, that way you can do a easy check in the area your concern with using a mutimeter.
The electrial pdf files for pre96 car are pretty good, most of the wire colours match with what is said on the pdf, some of the pin postions maybe slighty incorrect. I would remove the fb & use the pdf to help you find the wire your looking for. They are quite easy to find.
The fb will have plug in type connectors, these will be marked on the fb a,b,c,d,e &f. Once you have removed the fb you will be able to see them better.
For the side lights (fuse No. 5 10amp) you will need to look at:
connector a - red wire
connector e - red&blue wire
connecor e - orange wire
The rest you should be able to figure out hopefully.

connector e : black & red wire
connectoe d : brown & red wire
Btw I dont think its your fb that's the problem.
