STI light configuration
Hi
Just made up a loom to put STI lights onto a Bugeye WRX.
Fitted the STI lights and they look fan-bloody-tastic.
Tested em but when i go to full beam, low beams go out.
Is this the norm for normal STI cars?
Have rechcked the wiring and all seems good.Has any else done a loom and found this to be a problem,if so is there a cure for it?
Any help appreciated.
Cheers

I had the same problem with a twin headlamp conversion, but it seemed to cure its self when i changed the dip beam lamp for a hid conversion

Steve, further to our emails try wagons-ho or mulder on nasioc.
I had the details but ive lost them.
You could try Jar on here, he's clued up on them.
I just remember it being too much hassle for me, and it hasnt bothered me in 3 years of driving - nor has the the levelling motor.

But, I found this! http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/sho...replica+wiring

Not sure about the later scoobs , but on the classics, The switch , switches - not +, the + is provided by an ignition switched feed to the common side of the bulb , but this will work on either, although I would not recomend it if you have not relay`d at least main beam,
Find the light switch feed wire on the switch on the colum, it may be + or - !! find the main and dip ouputs from that switch, splice the feed wire into the dip output ( preferably just strip insulation without cutting wire, solder then tape well) Dip is then permantly on when lights are switched on.
Have a good one
