Advice please about batttery
Hi,
Had my new scooby now for 3 months and thrilled to bits with it, i'm just after some advice concerning the battery.
Over the last couple of days it has been sluggish to start up, and has now finally refused to start this evening. I do about 15 miles round trip to work every day, and use it quite regularly in the evening.
I've put a multimeter on it today after it wouldn't start and it measured 10.1 volts, after jumping it off a mate it measured 14.7 volts when running. Been to Halfords who tested the battery and said it needs replacing. I have all the receipts from the previous owner who replaced the battery in March 05.
Is it just a case of a cheap battery and the cold weather? or should I be looking in to it further?
Thanks,
Ps. It's an '02 Bugeye WRX.

Alternator is obviously charging. Probably cheap battery and lost a cell, if you got reciept it will have a year at least to guarantee it.
If after a run its still under 12v it has lost a cell for sure, change it!!
