Default battery and alarm again!!

FFS!

Bought a new £40 bosch battery to put in place of the drained one which wouldnt hold a charge.. fitted it, tryed to start the car and it wouldnt, so i put the charger leads on it and it instantly fired up perfect. proceeded to take it out for a heavy footed 10mile drive to charge the new battery up. came home and pulled up my drive switched it off, then decided to wash it (20mins)

Tryed to start it and the fcking thing seems to be drained!!! My alarm seems to put an extra 'beep' on the end of the alarm sound when i lock the car

Can anyone shed any light on this! brand new battery as well..

Default battery

first of all have you checked alternator output? if it is ok i would put a decent amp meter in series on earth side of battery and see what current drain there is with alarm on and then with it off,and if that is all ok start isolating various circuits by removing a fuse at a time
hope this is some help and good luck!

what alarm you got? mine's got an avital maxx1 and does the extra "beep" you mentioned when one of the zones are active (possibly something not shut proper like a door, bonnet or boot, or something is earthing out somewhere) if you've got a pin under the bonnet it might not be contacting properly?

Not sure if this would cause a battery drain but anything's worth a try ??

just been discussing this with an alarm engineer mate - do you have a tracker? if so it might not be going into "sleep" mode and could need checking
