Battery dead 2003 STI
2003 WRX STI, changed headlamp bulb on Saturday afternoon. Drove car Saturday night, did around 50 miles, stopped for 6 hours, did 50 back again. No problems.
Put car in garage. This morning car is completely dead. Less than 2V across the battery terminals.
In the past I have left the car for 2 weeks with no probs, this was just 2 days. Any ideas? Battery died? Drain on the electrical system somewhere?
Of course can't get anyone to look at it as it's still Christmas apparently.
TIA

My WR1 is doing the same, works fine all the time, even after a couple of days, but when left for more than 8 days its dead.
Do a check to see if there is a drain on the battery and what it is drawing with the doors locked and the alarm on,it should be pulling no more than 140-150 Mah.
New battery for me though.Good luck.

3 years is about the life of the batteries in these things. I'm only talking from the experience of three cars (mine, wife's and a friend's) so I'm sure a more knowledgeable bod will be along shortly with more info.
Unlikely to be a short with just a bulb change..

Subaru OE batteries aren't much good to start with. My 03STi never turned over very fast from new, always wondered if it was going to start. Changed to Halfords calcium (HCB005) last year and now it turns over much faster than it did from new.
