Reading ECU data on a Laptop
Hey there
I've had a quick search round but cant's seem to find any information on reading my ECU data with my laptop. Its a MY96 Version 2 so as far as i know it doesn't have a OBD-2 port but it does have the connector under the steering wheel. Are there any leads out there that i could use to link to my laptop with some software to view whats going on?
Thanks
Wayne

WayneG555 - A 1996 model is just on the border for OBD2 compliance.
Best bet is to find someone with an OBD reader and try it. I organised a GB over at the ESC and will soon be getting some more of the devices listed. They are very good as they are only the hardware you require leaving the decision of software down to the end user. There is loads of software available, ranging from the cheap to the very expensive. That way it keeps the cost of the hardware down.

Any questions, get back to me.
