HID lights - Can the headlamps take the heat?

Hi guys,
Interested in getting HID lights, but im a little concerned as to wether the plastic headlamps can take the heat? Will they discolour or anything like that over time?

Not a problem. HID's convert electrical power to light much more efficiently than conventional bulbs. So an HID only takes about 35W of power to make loads more light than a normal 55W bulb. It's the waste power that goes into heat so with an HID there's less heat as a) there's less wasted and b) it's only 35W rather than 55W. So it will be fine.
