Hi,
On my94 import wagon.
The black connecting box behind each headlamp (attached to the bulb) has melted slighty and now do not have very good connections, unless held inplace by other means.
Does anyone know where I can get two new once from ? Or should I just put shovel ends on directly
or not
Cheers and have a nice weekend.

Vehicle wiring products used to do them, but I can't find them in their online catalogue now. Vehicle Wiring Products
Give 'em a ring and ask.
WHY have they melted? You really need to find out, since if you hadn't found it, and it had continued, it could have got on fire![EEK!](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/eek.gif)
Have you been using high wattage bulbs?
If you can't get any new ones, why not go and cut a pair off of a scapped car? You just need ones that fit H4 bulbs, which lots of older cars did. A thin screwdriver will release the old terminals, and the ones from your car ought to fit straight in........

You can get a universal connector from your local Bosch agents/shop.
Easy to wire up the wires are OK and can be "pulled" a little. Otherwise it might be a bit of a pain. As long as you can crimp or solder OK it's a PoP.

Catalogue is at Vehicle Wiring Products as you said. The connector is part no MBC or 5736 (depending on whether you want straight out the back or right angle crimps) half way down the "lighting - headlight and driving lights" page under bulb connectors.
Excellent company to deal with, I've used them for years.

Cheers guys
The cause was bad advice and stupid person (me) listening to it.
Basically mate advised me to spray them with wd40 when they had a dodgy connection.
I saw the smoke and shut all down and dried out but plstic had already partially melted. Since I have improvised to establish a better connection.
Will take YOUR advice, many thanks.
