Default Is anyone running a grounding kit?

I have seen these for sale on Ebay, and the seller makes some pretty astounding claims for them, but i just wondered if anyone on here has one fitted to their car,and what if any improvements they have made?

£25 is not a lot of money, even if some of the claims are met!!

Also,is it easy to fit,and is anyone running it on a Newage(2003-2005 models) in particular with any improvements?

Cheers .

Always been sceptical about these claims but the theory sounds ok and I heard that japs do skimp on their earths. What the hell, for £25 give it a try, I expect its something that has more effect on some cars than other.

saying that though, i put it on my Legacy before my Impreza and it completely screwed up the coilpacks, almost like they were on their last legs and the extra earthing sent them over the edge

I custom made my own, each wire being the correct length for the installation. Neater that way.

I bought some heavy duty single core cable from an ICE dealer, and sufficient round tags. I cut each piece of cable to length, then soldered the tags onto the cable, using cored electrician's solder and the gas ring (Did it while the wife was out.)

If you squeeze the tag onto the wire lightly enough to just hold, you can then hold the edge of the tag into the flame with one hand on the wire, and use the other hand to flood the join with solder. Good, strong and excellent electrical connection.

The insulation did creep back a bit, but not much and hey, it's an earth wire!

I've got one sat in the garage like this, just never got round to fitting it yet...

eBay Motors: Ground Wire + Voltage Stabilizer SUBARU IMPREZA WRX (item 230084222135 end time Feb-02-07 17:15:53 PST)

The battery connection looks a bit cheap but the cables are well made. Only paid about $40 delivered and it came with the voltage stabilizer.

I've heard about them taking tired coil packs out before too

You could go to Maplin and make your own for about a tenner.
