Apexi FC
Hi.
Im going to buy a Apexi FC commander for my 1996 Type RA. Heard great things about it and spent many month reading about it. Now I need your help.
The early Impreza 1996 can only run boost up to 18?psi. Then you have to buy a new map sensor. Wich one works with Power fc? Found this:
eBay Motors: HONDATA AEM HALTECH DFI GM 3 BAR MAP SENSOR & CONNECTOR (item 180152823211 end time Sep-04-07 06:39:22 PDT)
Is it ok to replace the OEM mapsensor with this?
If its ok, can you adjust the boost on the Power fc, or just read it, or nothing of it. Do you have to buy a Apexi Fc boostkit to control the boost, isnt there a cheapier option for this and maybe let you have like high/low boost mode?
Please make me clearer on this with suggestions and facts
Cheers

think you only need a map sensor that allows you to run more boost. the clter classics standard map sensor lets you do this.
i ran a power fc with a apexi boost control kit, but didnt use the apexi map sensor as my standard on was up to the job. running 1.45-1.5 bar boost
