Default sti intercooler water spray

hi have recently bought 04 sti can anyone tell me when i should be using the intercooler spray

any advice welcome

Had mine 6 months and aint used it yet !

Am led to believe you only really need to use it on hot days or when doing lots of 'spirited' driving.

I was advised to use it after sitting in traffic to aid the reduction in temperature due to heat soak. My understanding is that on the JDM models that have the auto switch it is boost controlled aswell.

Sounds plausible.

The Sti engine does get bloody warm.

id personaly only use it if you are wantign to cool the intercooler down if you are giving the car a good thrash or on the run way. It cools the Intercooler down as the cooler the core tempatures the better the car will burn the fuel


Its uneeded really i think its just a "toy" but good for hot days on drag strips
