Default Hella 500FF lamps

I've got a set of normal Hella 500's on my bugeye WRX replacing the fog lamps. Seen these are out out and wondered if anyone has got their hands on any in this country as they only seem available in the states? are they any better???

I am sure Alcazar will be along shortly to comment. He is running Hella 1000FF HID driving lights and he says they turn 'night into day'.

They certainly do..........see my pics on the thread about fitting PIAA's.

I've not had any experience of 500FF's though, and didn't rate the 1000FF's in Halogen form, as I couldn't stop 'em vibrating. the light was OK, although obviously not a patch on HID

the 500's are good and no vibration..

but I'm thinking the ff's will give a better light distribution..

HID's take to long to warm up IMHO and i've got HID dipped on the morettes anyway.. just need the distance..

Those look quite good, and won't vibrate as much as 1000FF's as they are smaller.

HID's DO take a second or so to "warm up", but even when just switched on, they give more light than all but the most powerful halogen.
