Default V4 Sti lights not working

Hi all,

I have just got a V4 Sti and all was well until the other day when i noticed that the lights weren't working?
I have the main beam still but the low beam doesn't work on either of the lights, i have checked the fuses and the relays and all is well there, the bulbs are also ok.
This is leading me to suspect the switch/stalk cluster

anyone got any further ideas

You're CERTAIN the bulbs are ok? You've checked them with a wire to the battery, I assume?

Yes i have a volt meter but i haven't used it to be honest i guess i should just to make sure,

I didn't actually test the bulbs, they looked fine and just felt that it was too coincidental that both bulbs blew at the same time, change for some known good ones then i guess as well!

Well, it pains me to say this but i am a mong! i have just been out and checked both headlights with a known good bulb and they work, all i needed was some new bulbs which it now sports and they work perfect.
Thanks to those that took the time to answer a daft question like the one i posted!

Totally unsurprised: for some reason, when one goes, the other often goes too, or soon after
