Anyone know if you can get them and where from?
Or will it be a case of getting a recon alternator?

As above, you either have the brushes in your hands and pop along to your local alternator/start-motor specialist (we're still lucky enough to have one here in medway!) and see if they can match them. I very much doubt whether Subaru suppy them separate to the alternator itself.
I can get a recon alternator for around £60.
