Default OSRAM night breakers..

Are these any good? They claim up to 35 metres more visibility? anybody tried them?

I'd have posted in lighting and electrical, put prefer not to enter a convo with people that think a windows PC in rthe glove box is a worthwhile car mod.

Phillips xtreme seem to be the ones to buy atm but night breakers are decent.

Had those Phillips X-treme in my classic. They were nice and bright but let down by the crappy headlight design. I'm sure they'd be a significant improvement in any other car but pretty average in the Scoob.

Exactly. Any light is the sum of it's reflector, it's lens, (unless it's crystal), and it's lamp.

If any one part is crap, the light output will be crap too.

I have Philips Extreme in my Fabia (which have superb reflectors and lenses BTW) and they are excellent. £26 delivered off eBay Just fitted 100W Rally bulbs to the main beams too, but not had chance to test their effectiveness yet.

Our Octavia has woeful headlights, I think as a marketing ploy to con people into upgrading to HID's. The Extremes have improved things but the projector lenses are really more suited to HID and not halogen IMHO.

I've put Night Breakers in my C2 and they're a lot better than standard bulbs, but i've not tried any other upgraded bulbs to compare against.
