HT Leads coming off

HT Leads coming off
Hi,
for some reason one of my ht leads keeps coming off. Bizarrely enough on exactly the same bit of road...I limped into a dealer last week, who tightened the top of the lead and refitted it for me. But now i'm stranded up country in the middle of no where.
I'm not sure whats causing it..is this a common fault in "older classics"?
I've got a set of new leads on order..however is changing them a easy diy job?
