Default Hawkeye xenons...wierd!

Something wierd happened tonight with me xenons.
Usually when you switch on the lights, there's a split second delay before the xenon beams fire up... but after parking up the car for 3-4hours for dinner, I switched on the lights... sidelights came on... but it took a good two seconds before the xenons finally came on.

Driving for about half a mile, then for no apparent reason, the sidelights and xenons switch off by itself.
I instantly turn the headlight switch off, and turn it on again, and the xenons fire up as normal. After this I switched the car off a couple off times and start it up with no problems.

Wierd. Anyone else have this happen to them? What could have caused it?

It may be a loose connection or something similar, it sounds like there may have been a delay in the power reaching the headlights... Sometimes occurs in aftermarket kits due to loose wiring from the ballasts...
