Foglights Vs Driving lights

Foglights Vs Driving lights
I have PIAA driving lights fitted to MY00 from when I got it. They are both in a pretty bad way, chipped lenses, rusted reflectors etc.
If I source some OE cyrstal fogs, can I fit them, but still use by driving light bulb/ballast to maintain the driving light function?

No, the reflectors are what gives the different beam patterns. Short throw but very wide for fogs, very long and narrow for driving lights....
Fogs must only be used in severely reduced visibility, such as (obviously) fog which limits effective vision to below 100m, extreme wet weather spray or falling heavy snow. Driving lights must be activated ONLY when the main beam is selected, but also on it's own switch relative to that, and only used on unlit roads where no other moving vehicle is visible in front.
