![Question](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I've already got HID for dip but now thinking of adding them for main beam too. My questions are: with the way HID's spark when first switched on will it be a problem if you ever flash your lights at someone in that they don't ignite quickly enough?
Are the new slimline 'digital' ballasts any different in speed of operation compared to the bigger type?
Is it necassary to use a relay loom, as my dip set has this but some of the slim kits I've seen don't have this and the connector from the car loom plugs directly into the flying lead socket on the ballast?
Please don't reply if all you are doing is starting a slagging off session on HID's as it has all been covered many times.
Thanks.

Hi Andy,
HID for main beams is popular and everyone seems happy with them.
To see if you are happy with how quickly they respond, you can test it on your current dipped beam by switching them on and off.
I use mine for flashing, without issue.
Fitment is more straight forward than your current kit as discussed on PM.![Cool](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/cool.gif)
4300k main beam is showing as out of stock at the moment, but I will have a hunt around for you to see if there are any on the shelf.
Cheers,
Bob
