1997 wrx
stopped working, alarm will close the drivers door as it has a seperate solenoid hooked up
so far
checked all fuses in both fuse boxes = all ok
removed actuator switch thing from drivers door lock + tested it with mulimeter = switch works and makes a connection when lock is moved
timer box in passenger wheel arch, checked for water ingress = none present, dry as a bone!!!
now i am going to have to start looking at wires![Frown](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
can anybody tell me how the system works
assume the drivers switch is sent to the timer box direct, this must then be split into 3 other doors and told to fire the actuators in them for a second or so to lock/unlock them ?
or is something else (relay box maybe??) in the system ?

omg
fixed after stripping car to bits, my fusebox cover is in jap, but still tells me that 2 of them fuse spaces are blanks
errr no
one of them is a blank, the other one is for the central locking![Confused](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/confused.gif)
after putting a fuse in the "blank" slot, it started working again, so i can only assume that i have the "wrong" fuse box cover fitted and
1.the pixies stole my fuse
2.it somehow fell out and is "hidden"
simply can not explain it, but its working again
