Evening all, I have a UK MY99 fitted with the standard CAT 1 alarm which locks the doors when you turn the key.

A strange thing is happening when I start up first thing in the morning. On some occasions when I crank the engine into life the central locking locks then unlocks then locks again. The car starts with no problem, the battery was new last year. There is no pattern to when it happens, it can happen when frosty or when its mild. The car is always garaged so it is never frozen.

I know it is suppose to lock me in and let me out when I switch off. However, it is locking/unlocking then locking/unlocking as I turn it over.

Any ideas whats going on?

poss that battery is low on power so it gets a drop while starting
