Default Fog Lights MY99UK

The bottoms of my fogs have rusted so looking to replace.

Seen loads on Ebay but are the fittings the same for all classics and WRX / STI editions?

Cheers

Thumbs up

Good grief, pug32, take this as a God-sent chance to GET RID of the fogs and fit sriving lights.

Cost is maybe double what the poster above paid for his fogs, but WHAT a transformation

Bin the fogs and put in some spotlights. You can go the expensive way and put in PIAA lights or go the cheaper way and put in Hella 500's.

Cheers for all the responses - everyone's passionate about how crap the lamps are!

No doubt all the others are better than the standards but I've never even turned the things on in 3 years of owning the car - never found the need for the driving i do.

Got a lot of little cosmetic stuff the car needs like the fogs, wheels so right now I'd save the cash for some other stuff

555wrxra - PM'ed you

Thanks again

Martin

You're missing the point of spot lights.
Fog lights have a very wide flat beam with very short range. They're only any use up to about 30mph.That's why no one really needs them in UK.
Spotlights should be wired to come on with main beam. They have a long range beam and help you see where you're going at night.
As everyone says, forget fogs, fit spots or driving lights. You won't regret it unless you never go out at night.

Sorry mate, I did get what was meant by the driving lights. But yeah I vary rarely if ever go out of lit areas at night

I did think of the covers but it means painting them and I can't be arsed!

I have MY99 UK Turbo 2000 too. Just replaced the fogs with Hella driving lights which come of a kit from a new age (WR1) I think. Brackets fit so I would assume fogs would too (bolt holes match up exactly). By rusting do you mean corrode? My fogs are like new but TBH I had Cibies on for a couple of years before they fell apart.

The brackets are easy to make, Ive done the hard bit for you. Heres a template that fits Hella's & Cibie's
These fit all classic's and I think maybe the bugeye.
