Hi
Can anyone tell me what wire is what on the digital clock in a 1995 WRX
I have got:
Yellow (is this the permanent live)
Black (earth
)
Red (is this the ignition live)
Green ??
Blue ??
Green and blue will be something to do with lighting I would think
Had a search but can only find info on connecting up some Defi's to clock wires but no info on which colour is which
Cheers for any help

I take it you are trying to wire a digital clock from a UK impreza to your 1995 WRX? as the WRX models dont come with digital clocks,
does the clock unit have a button with bright on it?

Hi Version2STi
The clock was in the car when I bought it but never worked, Taken the facia off while fitting a new head unit and saw that the multi plug from the clock was not plugged in anywhere, Ran a live feed and earth from the head unit wiring and display came on and keeps correct time after ignition is turned off then back on again, Yes it does have a bright button so thinking that is what the green and blue wires are to provide feed for back light when lights are turned on.
Cheers if you can help get which wire needs connecting to what

ok, does the clock black out when you turn off the ignition? but lights up and keeps time when you turn it back on? if so you are not far away! the other wire will be to dim the back light when you switch your lights on and the bright button over ridesthis function so you could just leave them, if you are still not sure and you can wait till monday i can check the workshop manual and tell you excactly what is what?

Yes to the first bit, I did not connect any wire from light circuit to blue or green as did not want to damage anything, If you can check out correct colours Monday that would be great
Cheers
