hi, i got a problem with the stereo, when the engine isnt running no problem,
as soon as i start the car i get that whirring noise, start driving along and the sound goes completly or is all crackally!! has any of you guys got any ideas?
i was thinking maybe its an earthing issue.

wow, im amazed at the overwhelming response!! cheers people!!
anyhow, because i only picked the car up thursday, went to start it today and it died before turning over, looked at the battery and the live was just hanging on not even tightened up! also the chap i bought it off put new 6`9`s in the back parcel shelf, broke off the wiring connectors on the speakers! why i dunno, but its earthing out on the speaker surround and playing hell!! so there you go!! just thought i`d say lol.

Had similar problems in the past and fitted a cheap electrical supressor. You can pick them up from any accessory shop. It seemed to resolve the problem. Let me know if you need anymore information mate.
